| Adobe™
FrameMaker™ is pretty much the standard when it comes to technical
documentation. No other electronic publishing product on the market
comes close to the power of FrameMaker™ for long document handling. I
use the term "technical documentation" here loosely, since you
don't have to be writing anything very technical to benefit from the
features FrameMaker has to offer.
If you need to use complex "point" numbering (1.1.(i); 1.1.(ii); 1.2.(i)) or something similar, and you've struggled to get Microsoft Word to behave in precisely the way you want, then this feature alone could sell you on the idea of FrameMaker. |
Now add precise frame anchoring to make sure that
illustrations and figures stay where you put them relative to the text
that's associated with them and then cross-reference the whole thing
with sophisticated index/table of contents generation, and you have
quite simply the most powerful publishing software around for anything
from Technical Data sheets, to Scientific journals consisting of
thousands of pages.
Adobe™ FrameMaker™ is a template-based authoring and publishing solution for unstructured, structured and XML/DITA content. Easily author content with an enhanced user interface and standards-compliant tools, collaborate and review with out-of-the-box content management system CMS integration, and automatically schedule and publish via Adobe FrameMaker Server 10* software to multiple channels such as PDF, HTML, WebHelp, Adobe Air®, Adobe FlashHelp®, and Oracle Help |
